Apinan aivoja / Monkey brains

Pikkuneiti on hopottanyt tanaan hirveasti. Tanaan ruokapoydassa han kertoi myoskin "apinan avioista" (moneky brain). Tama on perheen sisainen vitsi. Indiana Jonesista juontava. Isan ja vanhemman tyttaren valinen juttu. Nyt siita taisi tulla myoskin pikkusiskon juttu. Kovin huvittavaa oli kuitenkin kuulla ensimmaista kertaa pikkuneidin suusta "manki bains". :D

Today  has been full of emotions. Expectation and joy reunion, feelings of loss, disbelief, sadness and the difficulty of giving up. I'm sure I mentioned about a really good friend who moved away two years ago and had now decided to return. You cannot believe how earth shattering it was to learn that they were not going to come back to Boston but move to California.  She came here for the weekend.... she was supposed to check her son's preschool and daughter's school. But the trip turned out to be a farewell trip. Their move has been the one thing that I've been expecting like child waits for Christmas. And now that has been taken away. Nothing seems to be going according to plans. Lots of things in the life at the moment which I would rather not have there.
The little miss has been talking a lot today. A constant chattering today. Today in the dinner table she was talking about something and suddenly she blurted out "monkey brains". This is a family joke. Derives from Indiana Jones. Something between father and the older miss. It was extremely funny to hear her for the first time to say "manki bains".
